Karaoke Machine For Kids

Karaoke Machine For Kids looks at the Philippines and Korea.

Here at Karaoke Machine For Kids we are taking at look at how people get involved with Karaoke around the world.

There is one country where they absolutely love Karaoke, they love dancing and they love singing, the Filipinos have loved it all since even before the birth of karaoke.

In their bars, restaurants and even on their variety shows they love Karaoke.

In South Korea they tend to sing, particularly in duets, with a remote control controlling the karaoke machine. They tend to group in what could be called Song Rooms and it is believed that there are over 30,000 of these rooms. The rooms are rented by the hour at about 60p per hour with perhaps up to 2,000,000 karaoke singers taking part every day.

The South Korean people call these places Norebangs, they even have them for youngsters in arcades that they can hire out for just one song at about 30p per song.

We at Karaoke Machine For Kids realise that it is not all about Kids, but they are the future and they are the future of Karaoke.

Karaoke Machine For Kids enjoy Karaoke and hope that we bring some of that enjoyment from us and from around the world to you.

Karaoke Machine For Kids talk about Karaoke culture

It’s not all about Karaoke Machine For Kids, although that’s who we are, as there are fascinating occurrence in the karaoke world.
An interesting thing, I struggle to call it a phenomenon, that happens in parts of Asia is rooms, small to medium sized, that are rented out with a karaoke system. These can be in hotels, restaurants or can be stand alone businesses and are called karaoke boxes.
In the United Kingdom we don’t have such exciting venues as mahjong karaoke rooms, we might have a karaoke night at the local pub, but that is exactly what they have in some parts of China. The older guys go there to play their mahjong and the younger ones go for a bit of karaoke. An interesting combination and very seldom does anyone fall asleep during the mahjong game with all that noise!
Although one of the birthplaces of karaoke, you can rent machines in the Philippines for your parties, they might be said to sometimes take their karaoke a little too seriously. They have had occurrences of killings, yes killings, of people singing, or trying to sing My Way, the local papers calling them the My Way Killings.
So as i say it’s not all about Karaoke Machine For Kids.

Karaoke Machine For Kids will bring you more about the background, culture and equipment surrounding karaoke.

Karaoke Machine For Kids -- Japananes Terms

Karaoke Machine For Kids brings you an introduction to a few of the words commonly used in Japanese Karaoke as well as a look at the Karaoke culture in Japan.

As you will know Karaoke has it’s roots in Japanese culture and there are certain words in Japanese that relate to Karaoke. One of the words i’m talking about is juhachiban or ohako this refers to the fact, unfortunately, that many karaoke singer are good at only one song, or they think they are! So the juhachiban or ohako is that favourite song they have that they like to sing when they are with their friends or at a Karaoke bar and they want to show off their singing prowess.

Another of the relevant words to karaoke is the Movieoke or Karamovie. This relates to the practice of amateur actors taking the part and replacing the stars of the silver screen in one of their movies. The technology used is muting and screen freezing and blanking via some handy software. So you to can be a star of the movies.

Have you heard the word hitokara, this refers to a singer singing along to karaoke alone, hito roughly translated being one person and kara translated from Japanese meaning alone -- so there it is singing alone.

KJ is similar to the old DJ or Disc Jockey in that KJ stands for Karaoke Jockey, they are usually the presenter that introduces all the tracks and tunes and lets everyone know who is singing next and acts as a sort of compere or master of ceremonies.

The history of Karaoke brought to you by Karaoke Machine For Kids

It hasn’t always been about Karaoke Machine For Kids, Karaoke has a history going back over 50 years

The word Karaoke originally comes from the Japanese “Kara” meaning empty and “okestora” meaning orchestra. These words over time blended together to form the word Karaoke. What karaoke has come to mean nowadays is a track of music usually now to a popular recording without the words that a member of the general public will sing along to. Usually karaoke is lots of fun and not very serious, although there are more serious competitions now and then. It’s more a case of friends and family getting together at home, in a pub or club, having a few drinks, “letting their hair down” and having a sing along to the track of their choice, following the lyrics on the screen or television.

In the 60′s in the early days of Karaoke there was a TV programme in the USA called “Sing Along with Mitch”, Mitch Miller sang with a chorus and the lyrics were shown at the bottom of the television screen at home for the audience at home to join in. You wont usually have someone leading the singing now though.

People fall out about who invented the word karaoke, but all i can say for certain is that karaoke and karaoke machines are now part of our everyday life.

In the 1970s the first Karaoke machines were produced in Japan. Karaoke machines took off in popularity with machines being leased out to restaurants and hotels.

Firstly with cassette based machines the karaoke revolution spread through Japan and the Philippines, though the USA and Canada in the 1990s.

Today there are many different types of Karaoke machines that will play one or more of the following formats, CD, CDG, CD/R, CD-RW, Laser Disc, VCD and DVD with some systems removing the audio from the tracks and this is ideal for Karaoke Machine For Kids.

As you can see there has been much more to Karaoke than today’s Karaoke Machine for Kids.
